Goodbye summer, hello fall!

Happy Fall you beautiful people! I'm so excited to get fall started. My favorite season is officially over but my second favorite has decided to make an appearance. It seems like this year has gone by so fast....it was just Fourth of July, now here we are almost in October.

I'm so excited for this Fall. I'm ready for the football, the chili, the snuggly Saturdays full of movies. If this season is half as amazing as my Summer was, I'll be happy.... if only we could just get the California weather on board.

#TBT

Hello! Happy Throwback Thursday to you all! So for some reason this time of year always makes we want to go to Disneyland, so I thought why not do a #TBT post with some pictures from our last trip to Disneyland!

My brother and I may have been a bit too big for the Marry-Go-Round, but hey, you're never too old for those things! It was a blast. We rode this right after we rode my favorite ride, Peter Pan's Flight.

After many rides, we went to Aladdin's restaurant and got box lunches, which were incredible by the way. Best Chicken ever AND those little cheesecakes with chocolates Mickeys on them were a cute little addition. That restaurant was almost as good as the Golden Horseshoe (another Disneyland gem) but not quite. Definitely a close second though! Of course Mom made all us kids take a picture in front of the giant tiger mouth.

On our way back from lunch my mom spotted my favorite Disney characters ever, Jack and Sally. I didn't even care how long I had to wait in line to meet them or what I had to do to get up there to them. After waiting in line for about 45 minutes, I finally met my heroes and it was just as amazing as I thought it was going to be! They really made me believe that they were them. Jack loved my Nightmare Before Christmas phone case and Sally was just as sweet as can be. When I met them, it felt like we were the only ones in the world. No one else mattered. I know that sounds dumb, but I almost kind of feel like that's how Walt Disney imagined it.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this little flashback moment with me. Now I want to go back even more!

You're Beautiful!

So I want to talk about something that is really near and dear to me. Something that isn't an easy subject to talk about in our society. However, I feel like it needs to be touched on.

Let me start out by saying, that I am a naturally thin girl and I always have been. However, a lot of people think that having my body type is so easy. Honestly though, it's not as easy as everyone makes it out to be. Believe it or not, there are hurtful things you can say to a skinny person. Just like people who struggle with being heavy, skinny people also have a rough time keeping it together.

Just because someone is thin does not, by any means, mean that they are healthy and fit. I am probably the most unhealthy eater ever. Not to mention the fact that I can't make it up a flight of stairs without becoming dizzy and winded. I've always been told to "eat a cheeseburger" and that I wouldn't be so cold all the time if I would "just gain some weight." After a while it gets old. It's not acceptable for me to tell someone that's heavy to "go eat a salad," but it's acceptable for everyone else to have a free range at thinner people. I hate that. It needs to stop! Everyone is who they are for a reason! I'm not here to stir up the pot or to shame other people....I just feel that every woman is beautiful for who they are and we need to stop with all the negativity that's flying around.

"No amount of physical beauty will ever be as valuable as a beautiful heart."

Here's your reminder that you ARE beautiful, no matter what body shape you have! Loving yourself is so important. It's a rough journey, but I promise once you get that mindset, everything else in life becomes so much easier. Be you! Leave your sparkle on the world!

Hi there!

Hello everyone! So I've decided to start fresh with a brand new blog. I'm very excited to see where this is all going to go. I hope you will stick around and continue on this journey with me.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm a nineteen year old from California that's just trying to figure out life. I've had my ups and downs in life, but who hasn't?  On my last blog, I almost felt a little bit embarrassed with some of the things I posted. Here's the thing though, I now realize that there's no reason to be embarrassed about who you are and what things you want to share with the world. So I guess the theme of this blog is to show you that it's okay to be the quirky, weird, different person you are. That's what makes you so amazing!

With that being said, I hope you will be able to get something from this blog! Here's to a new journey!
